Is the AT-AT image the actual toy? I can't tell. The AT-AT as always been my favorite Star Wars vehicle and I'm like jumping up and down in anticipation! I don't care if it's $300 and I have to max a credit card or two, I'm getting it. OMG! Sweet!

For one why do they need to keep changing the backer cards every year?I just got used to the current omes

I cannot afford a $300 AT-AT I hope they sell it in peices so to keep the price down

I heard the "Super Deluxe" toy which has been rumored to be the AT-AT will be priced at $100. Hard to believe it will be that cheap - I'd guess $150 like the Falcon was priced.

Eh - it's handy sometimes. For stores that never re-stock, the new stuff always stands out easy.

But... then you'd have to buy a bunch of extra stuff to get the pieces and would wind up paying more over all (not to mention how much it would inevitably suffer by having to be broken up into pieces)?

Anyway yeah, I don't see it costing three hundred. I expect it'll be the same as the Falcon - around 150 or so.

My guess is that the new-scale AT-AT will be at the $150 price point. It'll probably be the new "BMF". Whether it's $100 or $150, I'll be getting at LEAST one.

P.S.- "New-scale"? Is it "to scale" in comparison to the new AT-ST, the figures, or what? Could you imagine? A THREE-FEET tall Imperial Walker! That'd be friggin' GREAT!

I didn't say it was GOING to be $300. Just that if it was I'd have to make some financial adjustments to get it. My guess is it will be $169.99. I agree though. With the current economy it isn't going to sell nearly as well as it would have 5 years ago. Hopefully the economy driven lack luster sales now won't discourage Hasbro from releasing it again down the road when people have the money. If it is 3 feet tall! Personally I'd preffer they spend the money in production on plastic to make it as large as they can get away with instead of on expensive digital sound and lights. If they pull off both though, all the better. Time to start stocking up on Imperial Snowtroopers.

I found this pic of it

I want this bad boy

have found more infore with more pictures:

STAR WARS AT-AT
(Approximate Retail Value: $99.99; Ages: 5 & up; Available: August 1, 2010)

In space, size does matter, and Hasbro certainly kept that in mind when creating its all-new, highly detailed STAR WARS AT-AT. The AT-AT (All Terrain Armored Transport) played a significant role in the Empire’s military assault in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and it will play an equally important role in every fan’s toy collection this year! Measuring more than 24 inches tall, nearly 28 inches long, and 12 inches wide, this colossal vehicle holds up to 20 STAR WARS figures – 6 of which can fit in its head alone! – and includes so many play and electronic features true to its on-screen counterpart that it’s hard to believe! From the zip-line in its body and articulated legs for superb poseability, to its LED lights and authentic movie sounds and phrases, this is the must-have addition for STAR WARS fans of all ages. Includes a 3 ¾ inch AT-AT driver action figure and a pop-out speeder bike.

...In addition, a new photo of the BAT-AT has surfaced, over on German fansite http://www.starwars-descriptions.com/merch...uechteatat.html so everyone can finally see what we've all been talking about the past few years

I didn't know we were still askin Hasbro questions

TNI: Hasbro Catalog scans of a new AT-AT toy leaked out online a few weeks ago and since then we have heard rumors this toy will be much larger than the old AT-AT toy. Rumors are saying this toy will be almost 3 ft in size, a larger cockpit, come with A AT-AT driver and come with a speeder bike. Can you confirm these specifications, are there any other specification you can provide such as a price point and are there any images you can provide or will this be revealed at Toy Fair next month?

Hasbro: Well, we can confirm that there is indeed a great new AT-AT coming this fall. Set to hit shelves on 8-1, it will be offered at a $99.99 SRP (same as the AT-TE and Turbo Tank) and will be an all-new version, rethought from top to bottom with great new play features, a lot of room for figures, and a huge number of electronic phrases and sounds. It has been designed with both collectors and kids in mind, and we think that it will wow both audiences. As for size, we don't know the exact height off-hand, but it is much bigger than the vintage Kenner version when all three dimensions are considered in person. Look for more details, and photos, at Toy Fair. Bring your tape measure!
